Butchers Kitchen at Broseley

Andy's Butchers in Broseley approached CCUK with a view to installing a brand new Commercial Kitchen that supplements their new  restaurant which focus's on local produce and excellent quality meats.

The CCUK team was led by Phil who marshalled his considerable catering experience to meet the requirements of the client while balancing other issues such as timings, costs and available space. Under Phil's guidance the CCUK design team drew up a number of options and the final plan was approved.

The finished project now boasts a Blue Seal cooking line, complete with range cooker, fryers and a Synergy Grill as well as bespoke stainless steel wall benches, sink units and food preparation areas. Phil placed particular emphasis on incorporating modern hygiene standards in order to ensure food safety.

The Falcon Hotel

The Falcon Hotel

During the winter of 2017, CCUK took on a huge project at the Falcon Hotel in Bridgnorth and provided a full 'Turn Key' service which involved complete refurbishment of the restaurant and bar along with a brand new commercial kitchen suite. 

The project was led by MD Richard Davies who was able to use his extensive industry experience to gather the best possible equipment for the new commercial kitchen. The kitchen itself was stripped out, re painted and bio clad along with new Poly-Flooring. The new equipment included two Rational Self Cooking Centre's, Induction Hobs, Synergy Grill and a complete Commercial Extraction System.

CCUK also covered the front of house refurbishment which involved painting, lighting, flooring, integrated sound systems and state of the art security cameras. CCUK successfully sourced and supplied all the new furniture, crockery and glassware for the restaurant in keeping with the vision of the owners. The old bar was also stripped out and a brand new white marble topped bar was installed, complete with stainless steel back bar units and multiple back bar bottle coolers. 

On top of the internal refurbishment, CCUK also oversaw considerable external works primarily involving roofing repairs and the painting of the exterior.

Wrekin College

Wrekin College

Wrekin College, an 11-18 Co-Educational Independent boarding and day school in Shropshire, decided to refurbish their Memorial Hall bar in an effort to modernise this historic buildings facilities. The Memorial Hall, which is used for all manner of functions including concerts, balls and examinations, maintained a small bar in order to properly service school functions such as the renowned summer ball. In recent years former pupils have begun to use the Memorial Hall for their own purposes such as weddings and private functions. Following this rise in interest, CCUK was approached early in 2017 to complete a full refurbishment of the bar.

MD, Richard Davies took on the project and has spent significant time at the site as the project was completed within the confines of the Easter holidays so as not to disturb the pupils in their studies. The refurbished bar now boasts granite bar tops and shelves, new bottle fridges, professional flooring as well as new glass washers and ice machines. CCUK has brought this bar to a new commercial standard offering a contemporary and professional look.

Liquor Lab

Liquor Lab

Situated in the new Southwater development in Telford, Liquor Lab stands as the only independently owned establishment in the area. Despite being open for just three months, Liquor Lab has been met with great success and is now the first port of call for those in Telford looking for an exciting drink in the busy town centre. Owner and operator Matt Taylor came to Catering Centre UK looking for advice on setting up this new cocktail bar.

Commercial Kitchen Refurbishment

CCUK, led by MD Richard Davies took on the project and using his considerable commercial catering experience helped deliver Matt’s view of the cocktail bar. Housed in a purpose-built unit CCUK was able to apply its architects team with full force and make use of the available space. In order to complete this project Catering Centre UK provided a number of bespoke commercial items combined with necessary required services, these included:

Rail Gourmet

Rail Gourmet

Rail Gourmet specialise in providing high-end food for the railway industry. Recently Rail Gourmet decided to invest in a new food production site based in Heston. 

CCUK’s mandate was to ensure the commercial catering facilities were first rate, and that the entire sites electrics, fire safety system and security system were in place.  MD of Catering Centre UK, Richard Davies took overall responsibility for the project and made himself available throughout in order to meet any arising problems.

Richard was able to bring together a number of different teams and balance their needs in order to complete the project on time. The new Rail Gourmet site at Heston now boasts a state of the art commercial production kitchen, backed up by commercial extraction and storage facilities.

Lyons Den Gourmet Burger is Shrewsbury’s premier dedicated gourmet burger restaurant. Situated in one of the most architecturally interesting settings in the town, the experience at this bold restaurant is extremely rewarding. In the summer of 2015, Catering Centre UK was contacted by Adam & Kelly Lyons with the vision of opening what would be Shrewsbury’s first gourmet burger establishment. MD, Richard Davies took on this task from the start and offered the full ‘Turn Key’ service.

Commercial Catering Kitchen Refurbishment

Situated in the historic “Traitors Gate”, Lyons Den Gourmet Burger required a brand new commercial catering kitchen refurbishment in some considerably compromising spaces. With the help of our architects’ team, Richard was able to effectively plan out the new bespoke commercial kitchen and helped to maximize the productivity potential of the site. The new commercial kitchen included:

  • Parry Electric Oven
  • Lincat Griddle and Fryers
  • Gram Refrigeration

Commercial Bar and Restaurant Refurbishment

Adam and Kelly had a clear vision for the front of house aesthetic which took full advantage of the low ceilings and exposed brick walls. Catering Centre UK was able to marshal their full design capability in order to achieve the vision and assisted in supplying crucial elements to the concept. These elements included:

The New Inn

The New Inn

During May 2016 The New Inn, based at Baschurch in the north of Shropshire, was taken over by Shrewsbury restaurateurs Clare and Graham Jenkins who own the celebrated Henry Tudor House. As part of the team, executive chef Chris Conde will be leading the new menu by combining the skills of the Henry Tudor House team with the existing chefs at the New Inn. In addition to the initial investment, the New Inn has undergone front of house refurbishment and a substantial refit of their commercial catering kitchen.

Catering Centre UK Managing Director, Richard Davies, took charge of this project and built upon his previous affiliation with Chris Conde who had been a client of CCUK for some years prior. Richard and Chris sat down and planned out their vision for the new commercial catering kitchen at the New Inn. At the same time, the two looked at rearranging the Henry Tudor House kitchen in order to create a similar set up over the two sites allowing for easy management and cohesion by the executive team.  The new commercial kitchen equipment included:

Ffestiniog Railway

In 2015 the Ffestiniog Railway approached CCUK looking to do a full refurbishment of the commercial catering kitchen at the Portmadog Harbour Station as part of a £1.3 million regeneration project.

Commercial Kitchen Refurbishment

Led by MD Richard Davies, CCUK designed and supplied a brand-new state of the art commercial kitchen that would accommodate the increased passenger traffic that the refurbished station would bring. CCUK oversaw the entire project in what they deem a full ‘Turn Key’ operation and through the use of extensive CAD design plans were able to complete the project in good order. By hand over date in early February the Portmadog Harbour station boasted a brand new commercial kitchen suite, which included a number of products:

  • Bespoke Commercial Stainless Steel Wall Cladding
