During May 2016 The New Inn, based at Baschurch in the north of Shropshire, was taken over by Shrewsbury restaurateurs Clare and Graham Jenkins who own the celebrated Henry Tudor House. As part of the team, executive chef Chris Conde will be leading the new menu by combining the skills of the Henry Tudor House team with the existing chefs at the New Inn. In addition to the initial investment, the New Inn has undergone front of house refurbishment and a substantial refit of their commercial catering kitchen.
Catering Centre UK Managing Director, Richard Davies, took charge of this project and built upon his previous affiliation with Chris Conde who had been a client of CCUK for some years prior. Richard and Chris sat down and planned out their vision for the new commercial catering kitchen at the New Inn. At the same time, the two looked at rearranging the Henry Tudor House kitchen in order to create a similar set up over the two sites allowing for easy management and cohesion by the executive team. The new commercial kitchen equipment included:
